(96) Sir William Murray of Tullibardine, died 30th January 1562. He was served heir to his grandfather 23rd May 1525, and married Katherine, daughter of Sir Duncan Campbell of Glenorchy, and had issue:

• 96(a) William (No. 97 below).
• 96(b) Alexander Murray of Wester Aberlednoch and Drumphin, died February 1596. He married Isobel, daughter and heiress of Peter Reidheuch, and had:
• 96(c) James Murray of Pardewis, died September 1592. His Will recorded 19th July 1594 (Edinburgh). He took part in the Raid of Ruthven, and was forfeited 22nd August 1584. He married, first, July 1572, Marion, daughter of Sir Simon Preston, and, second, before 17th April 1582, Agnes Lindsay. He had two sons:
• 96(d) Andrew Murray, living 1560.
• 96(e) Laurence Murray, living 1560.
