Matilda Peteranec (roð. Kramaric) imala je 28 godina (roðena 1884). Bila je iz Vagovine. Bila je tada veæ udovica i imala troje djece - sin Miško, navodno dijete iz prvog braka, sin Ivo i kcer Mare. Djeca nisu putovala s njom u Ameriku. Roditelji Martin i Jaga Kramaric. Prema britanskim dokumentima, bila je austrijska službenica iz Basela u Švicarskoj. S obzirom da joj je brat vec živio u Americi, vjeruje se da je putovala k njemu. To je bilo njeno drugo putovanje u Ameriku. Njeno se ime prema raznim dokumentima pojavljuje u nekoliko varijacija, npr., Madilta Petranec, Mathilda Petranec ili Matilda Petrance. Kao i ostali njeni sumještani, putovala je preko agencije Viktor Klaus-Wildi. Putna karta za Titanic (serijski broj 349.245), koštala je 285 franaka a odredište je bio takoðer Harrisburg u Pennsvlvaniji. Mrs Matilda Petranec, 28, an widowed servant from Vagovina, Croatia, boarded the Titanic at Southampton together with Ignjac Hendekovic.

To reach their destination of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, she bought her third class ticket from the agent: Viktor Klaus-Wildi, Buchs for 299 Swiss francs (ticket number 349245, £7 17s 11d).

Mrs Petranec died in the sinking. Her body, if recovered, was never identified. Her ticket was found on the body of Mr Hendekovic.
