Mr August Ferdinand Nilsson, 21, was born 18 October 1890 the son of miller Johan Nilsson and his wife Anna (née Jönsson). August worked as a miller's hand and lived in Årröd, Östra Sallerup, Hörby, Skåne, Sweden. August Nilsson's mother was living but father Johan Nilsson died in 1912.
Nilsson travelled with Olof Vendel, also from Östra Salerup, they went via Copenhagen, it is likely that they bought their tickets there. Nilsson was destined for St. Paul, Minnesota. They boarded the Titanic at Southampton as third class passengers.
August died in the sinking, his body was never found.
