Mr William Jeffery Ware, 23, was born in Gunnislake, Cornwall in 1889. His home was in King Street and he worked as a blacksmith. He was married to Cecilia Ware. Up to six weeks prior to sailing on Titanic he had been in South Africa visiting his father.
He boarded the Titanic at Southampoton as a second class passenger (ticket number 28666, £10 10s). He travelled with Frederick William Pengelly, also of Gunnislake and two brothers from nearby Harrowbarrow, Harry and Shadrach Gale. Their destination was to have been Butte, Montana.
Ware was lost in the sinking, his body, if recovered, was never identified.
