Mrs Mary Keziah Roberts, 31, was born in Liverpool.
When she signed-on to the Titanic on 6 April 1912 she gave her address as 9 Chestnut Grove, Nottingham. Her last ship had been the Adriatic. As a stewardess she received monthly wages of £3 10s.
She was rescued, possibly in lifeboat 161.
After surviving the Titanic Mary Roberts continued her life at sea on the Majestic for the rest of 1912. Later on she was serving on HMHS Rohilla which was sunk by the Germans.2
Mary Roberts died 2nd January 1933, she is buried with her husband 3 in the church of St Mary the Virgin Church, London Road, Ewell, Epsom, Surrey.
Notes 1. Some sources say lifeboat 16, Ticehurst suggests Lifeboat D. 2. Recollection of Sidney Sedunary. The 'Official' entry reads: Hospital Ship - Rohilla - 7,891 tons. - Date 30th October 1914 - Wrecked off Whitby - No casualties. 3. Her husband died in a motor cycle accident.
