Mr Leonard Taylor, 23, was born in Glossop.
When he signed-on to the Titanic [1], on 6 April 1912, he gave his address as 6 Sherbourne Road, Blackpool. The Titanic was his first ship. As a turkish bath attendant he received monthly wages of £4 [2].
Taylor died in the sinking. His body, if recovered, was never identified.
Notes 1. For some reason, on the articles of agreement, the turkish bath attendants were included with the galley staff 2. Taylor was presumably the junior turkish bath steward as his colleagues Crosbie and Ennis earned £6 10s and £6 respectively.
