Death notice published in "The Sydney Morning Herald" of Monday 25 November 1861:

"On 3rd November, at the residence of her brother-in-law, Mr. George Foster, Mosquito Island, near Newcastle, Sarah Ann, eldest daughter of Mr. James Gordon, Manning River, and niece to Henry Gordon, Esq., J.P., Illawarra."
