Served in World War 2 United States Army 2nd Cavalry Mechanized, Staff Sgt, Qualified in all weapons Expert. Basic was at Camp Lee Va. Remount service. MOS Chief Scout. DI (Drill Instructor) trained a lot of men for D-Day and replacements units, also special ops units. Saved a man from stepping on a live land mine fuse which went off in his hands as he turned away from the rest of the group of men he was commanding. Phosphorous burns on hands face and chest which burn when exposed to oxygen. Hospitalized in Camp Atterbury Indiana. Owned a night club in Nashville Tennessee, owned a grocery storein Nashville Tennessee. Post man until medical retirement in 1967.
