Carrie Gaare Baker (1863 - 1946)

Carrie was born in Norway, Oct. 9, 1863. In 1866 the family came to Allamakee County, Iowa in America and moved with her parents to Spring Grove, MN in 1886. She came to Fargo, ND in the late 1880's and was married there to Ferdinand Baker. In 1895 they moved to Perley, MN where they lived for 48 years. Mr. Baker died May 22, 1944.

Mrs. Baker was held in high regard and respected by her many friend and neighbors in the Perley community, as she was a loving, peaceful citizen and a very faithful and active church member. She passed away Dec. 30, 1946, at Fargo, ND.

Funeral services for Carrie were held at the Bethania Lutheran Church rural Perley on Saturday, Jan. 4, 1947. Burial was in the church cemetery.
