David Michael Hobden was born on 16th October, 1956 to Donald and Lola nee Guest, at the Nambour Maternity Hospital, Nambour. He is the youngest member of the family: his sibblings are: Christine, Terry (Arthur), Robert.
David and his family moved from Nambour when he was 2 years old, to Esk, Queensland.
While they were in Esk, Don and Lola bought and ran a Grocery Shop for a couple of years.
David and his sibblings went to the Esk Primary School then Toogoolawah State HIgh School.After living in Esk for 13 years then they moved to Ipswich as David and Robert were working at the Railway Workshops, Dave was a Carriage Trimmer and Robert was a Sheet Metal Worker. Dave was at the Railway Workshops for 23 years, 1 month and 2 days.
David lived at home for 28 years, until he built a house at 10 Moriarty Lane, Marburg where Kerry Boustead and her 2 children, Kelli-lee and Nathan moved in.
Whilst living in Marburg, Dave and Kerry got married on 8th March, 1986 at the "Grotto" in Queens Park, Ipswich. Dave and Kerry had two children, Tillena and Michael, whilst living in Marburg. David was with the Marburg SES before he joined the Marburg Fire Brigade. The family lived there for 10 years before moving to Rosewood where they got another house built for the growing family.
The house they live in now at 43 Mill Street, Rosewood, has had some improvements added in the 16 years. David is still active with the Rosewood Fire and Rescue Service as Lieutenant. His style of sport is playing Lawn Bowls with the Rosewood Bowls Club, which is just down the road from where the house is.
Dave now works for the Ipswich City Waste Service as a Garbologist (Garbo-man).
