Frederick John Boustead (1864 - 1898)

Frederick along with his brothers, Richard and William at some stage left Mudgee and settled in Central Queensland. A Barcaldine newspaper cutting reports that Mr W Jenkin's rachorese, Coronation, with R. Boustead in the saddle and carrying 8 stone 9 lbs. was the winner of Tambo's first two and half mile race. The brothers Boustead rode the three winners of the long races in Tambo. Richard aka Dick in 1879, William aka bill in 1880 and Fred in 1881."
