I got my nickname from my kids. I tend to be bad at driving directions. The first Sunday after we had moved to Panama, Chuck was already gone on a trip out of the country. After church I decided to take the kids to the mall...we never got there...we saw it about 8 times. Here is the conversation I had in the car.
"Is this the road we want?" "Have we been here before?" "Isn't that the mall right there?" "How do we get into the parking lot?" "How did we get on this road?" "Weren't were just in the parking lot, how did we end up on the freeway?" "There's a toll road to the mall?" "North, don't I want south?"
Finally, Kiernan said, "Mom, you are an Altzheimer Road Finder." A name they gleefully use every time I'm lost. I can give good directions, I just can't find my way.
