Thank you for helping me to discover this wonderful site and find out about so many relatives I never knew I had. How lovely to find a third cousin from my dad's side of the family! I think I will end up spending a lot of time exploring the family tree and our history. I live in Melbourne Australia and would love to find out if any other members ouf family have made it to this part of the world. I have been here for about 14 years, but still call England home. I am married to Russell and we have one son Alex, who is 9. I work in media and communicaitons for a large health charity, but I'm not sure where my life's work will end up taking me eventually. I am a dedicated life long vegetarian and love cooking and exploring new foods. I am loving teaching my son about the delights of diiferent foods and sharing my passion with him. Thank you for sharing this. With love,
I |

Dear Suzanne
I am intrigued by your interests - my mother, Wendy, who died last year, was a psychotherapist, and my father was a naturopath and osteopath and acupuncturist - and I remember going to hear Krishnamurti with him when I was a child. I am an academic, but am also training as a group analyst.... I was in NY recently and met up with my cousin Sylvia, her son David, and a previously unknown cousin, Joy Weaver - we exchanged lots of information about the family over there, and Joy is doing hard work on a family tree there, and Sylvia has done much herself over the years.... Thanks for contacting me! How did you find me? Best wishes

Dear Sasha,
Your parents sound like they were very interesting people and I'm sorry that I never got the chance to meet them.
I found you almost by accident. I was looking for an email address for Joe and Meta Roseneil and came across a piece about your mothers death. Joe had mentioned that his brother had had more than one wife so I guessed right.
I also went to see Krishnamurti give one of his last talks at the Barbican in the early 80's!
My genealogy research started about 10 years ago when an aunt of mine found a wonderful photo of all the Sterns taken in 1911, and got it decoded by the remaining people in it. Then I got hold of a family tree that my grandmother had drawn up which included her fathers siblings, which is where your branch comes in. After that I got a computer and really took off, finding long lost cousins all over the place.
The research took a back seat for a few years when I was training as a yoga teacher and then earlier this year another 3rd cousin who lives next door to a 1st cousin in Beverley Hills told me about this site and we both joined. Since then the "tree" has taken on a life of its own with all the branches adding to it.
Do get your cousins from NY to add their info. I've still got around 6,000 people in my offline tree to add at some point.
You also sound like you've had an interesting life. Where are you training in group analysis?
Keep in touch.
Best wishes.

Hi Suzanne, thanks for including me in your tree. I never knew that my (ex)brother-in-law Sidney RoseNeil had all these relations! the only one I ever met was Esther, many years ago. I have told you the bare bones about my family. I hope it is useful to you! Regards Leni |

Hi Suzanne

Hi Suzanne! Thanks for inviting us to join the site. My son Steven has been having a great time with it and counting all of his relatives. I've really learned quite a bit more about the family and I'm doing some amateur research on finding more relatives on my paternal grandfather's side. They also came from Lithuania in Vilkomir, even though my grandparents met in the US. I see how this can become addictive. Stay in touch.

Dear Linda,
I'm glad you are all enjoying the tree. Thanks for your additions, I've added them onto the tree. And Yes, it is VERY addictive!!!!!!
Best wishes.

Hi Suzanne,

Suzanne. Looks like you have uploaded your family tree into Geni. Now we will be able to see how we and the Gardners are related. I will be in London in August. Maybe we can meet. |
Dear Norton,
Yes, They have finally accepted Gedcom files. Unfortunately, they can only accept 4,000. My current file is nearing 8,000!!!!!
It would be lovely to meet you in August.
My proper email address is suzanne.michaud2007@btinternet.com. Let me know when you are coming and we can arrange something.
Best wishes.
Suzanne
Dear Justine,
Lovely to hear from you. We have loads of family in Oz, mainly in Sydney but I think a few in Melbourne too. 2 sons of Isaac Stern (my grandmothers brother) moved there about 90 years ago and produced a huge family there. Also my 2nd cousin, Tony Stern (grandson of Abraham Stern) married Itske who also comes from Oz and has a large family there too. I think we just about cover the whole world now!!
I just love the way this little project of mine has taken on a life of its own and keeps on growing.
It just proves that we are all really related and interconnected.
Happy exploring.
Om Shanti.
Suzanne
