I believe that "In one’s quest to change the lives of others, yours is changed, seek well for others and you would be well, pray for others and yours is answered” I am an entrepreneur and dreamer who have come to appreciate that little contribution can make great differences, therefore the setup and contribution of many projects, among this is the Cletek Computer school and Services, which aims for better availability of access to and knowledge of the ICT-sector in the rural poor areas. Drive Aid Ghana started as a student awareness project in Tamale called the Green Gold Project, its main focus was to advocate and encourage the use of the Moringa plant in ECG Computer and Business College where I served as an ICT instructor of the college. It later expanded to rural communities mainly Bongo in the Upper east region were 28 acres of community based plantation was setup, further expanded to the northern Volta corridor and now based is Damongo. Our main vision is to make Agriculture (especially through Moringa), ICT a source of empowerment and health awareness and promotion to the rural poor..
I discovered that Moringa can be used for many socio-economic activities which include; making of organic fertilizer, Oil for cosmetics and food, leaves and seeds powder for food, drugs, water purification, pesticides etc. And also, the fact that it grows in the same areas where it is most needed, especially in Africa where malnutrition is a pandemic; this tree is no less than a panacea to Africa and the world. Notwithstanding the fact that there are many organizations in this sector of the country, our focus and drive using ICT and the Moringa cultivation would serve as a strong hold, considering the fact that Moringa is locally grown and most plantations would be facilitated through local farmers. the ICT center would have is drive from me personally as i have instructed others in this sector for seven year now. The ICT center would also provide training to young and willing people who are ready to tap into the global village, among courses that would be thought would be; the use of open sources software(Ubuntu, Open office) which are easily affordable (or even free), in addition, Web/Desktop Publishing, Networking, Graphic design among others. These would equip them to setup their own business or even empower them to bigger job opportunities. With the Setup of Drive Aid, we believe it would give a chance to us and others who want to help and give the opportunity to share knowledge and skills as well as support to rural poor communities.
