The objective of this project is to gather and share information related to the Garvey families of North Carolina prior to 1800. Scant records are available for the period prior to the 19th century but state and Federal Census records show several Garveys in North Carolina around 1800. Our goals are: finding and documenting the origin of these named individuals, making connections between them where possible and further expanding what is known about our Garvey ancestors in and around North Carolina before 1800.
