A project for the lesser known figures (common soldiers, spies, people who helped free slaves, etc.) in the American Civil War. This battle was fought by many, both in action and in the aid of the people's' spirit. So let us not forget all who fought this grandiose war. We include both people who sided with the United States (whose army was known as the Union) and those in the Confederate States of America ( commonly known as the Confederacy), to remember all who fought in this war for a cause they deemed righteous; to preserve an important piece in the history of this event commonly overlooked.
