The origin of the Tiongson family name

The name given to the youngest son of the elder Ti was Ong (Ti Ong Son) - whose father (elder Ti) was born in 1650 and lived up to the ripe age of 80 - a descendant of Ti Hsin, the last king of the Shang dynasty (1766 B.C. - 1122 B.C.) whose imperial ancestors had ruled China in all its grandeur and majesty. Ti Ong Son's son, because of socio-political crisis between the Conquistadores and the Chinese and the laws implemented by the Spanish colonial government, was compelled to adopt the Christian name, Tomas, and decided to make the whole name composition of his father (Tiongson) as his surname. This was also used by his descendants as their surname.

4. Include in the "About Me" section a brief biographical sketch, summarizing the person's significant contributions and accomplishments. (Required)
5. Include a photograph, if one exists.
6. Mark the profile as "public" and not "private". (Required)
