There are many variations of the name Harrington...O'Harrington, Haroughton, Harraughton and Herrington...  The Harrington Blazon of Arms represents meshes of fishing net. It is called Harrington's Knot...  there is a connection between  " Herringtown" and  "The Net "  could some Harrington ancestors have been Fishermen ?
