  • Turner Descendant

Ted Turner descends from Simon Turner, the son of William Turner, born about 1698 in North Carolina, died after making a will on 30 May 1770 in Bertie County, North Carolina.  The Turner DNA project lends proof to Ted Turner’s ancestors.

Would Ted Turner be related to William Hugh Turner, born in Waynesboro, GA, born 1892? I’m from Savannah and told Ted Turner is my third cousin. Ted Turner could carry a defective genetic gene that he needs to be aware. I was reading his book and when his father committed suicide near Hilton Head, SC, he stated his foot would bolt up and he had to put his other foot on top of the foot to stop the involuntary movement that plagued him. Stress of his father’s death could’ve brought out the horrific effects of this disease. This genetic disease runs in the Turner family, so I want him to aware of the horrible side effects, pain and embarrassment. He should be aware when and if his children and grandchildren display this involuntary painful movement disorder called DYSTONIA. My doctor in Jacksonville, FL, wants to do an extensive genetic study on the Turner side. Everyone of my relatives suffer from this movement disorder defective gene.
