    The site’s privacy policy is non-existent.u00a0 All my private details, dates and placesu00a0of birth, death, marriage, etc. are on public access, apparently posted by a distant relative.u00a0 None of this privateu00a0information is in theu00a0public domain in my own country and I could take legal action to have it removed but the site is registered in California.u00a0 I have already lost thousands of dollars due to identity theft and this breach of my privacyu00a0probably assistedu00a0the fraudsters and while it remains on public access, will continue tou00a0 do so.nnGeneric feedback from the site about the possibility of the person not being me – do I not know my parents, husband, own personal vital records, etc??u00a0 For some reason I am the only one of my generation in the tree whose privacy has been violated in this way.nnThe suggestion that I have to join the site – and provide more personal information – and then implore someone I don’t know tou00a0respect my privacy isu00a0disgusting.nn
