Geni’s World Family Tree Hits 66 Million Profiles!

Posted December 5, 2012 by Amanda | 3 Comments

Yesterday, we shared with you a few charts illustrating the amazing response we’ve received from users since announcing that Geni is joining the MyHeritage family. Today, we’re thrilled to announce that Geni’s World Family Tree now has 66 million people connected! Reaching this milestone would not be possible without the collaborative effort of millions of genealogists around the world. Congratulations to all of our users for your hard work!

Check out the World Family Tree page to watch real time updates and other interesting statistics about the world tree. Have you connected to the World Family Tree?

    Congratulations! :D
…But the site’s still asking me to upgrade to Pro in order to view profile matches so I still can’t merge…. :’(

Hi Sara! Tree matches are still a Pro feature. Here’s our FAQ on how to merge profiles

Keep in mind that privacy and permission rules still apply.

Thank you and sorry for the trouble! I find the difference between the two merges a little confusing since in the “tree matches” menu, profiles for specific people are shown. It looks like profile matches to me. *shrugs* Sorry again and Congrats! I see the numbers are still climbing rapidly! :)
