Rod Stewart

Are you a fan of Rod Stewart? Today the music legend turns 69. Born January 10, 1945 in London, England, Stewart was the youngest of five children. He excelled at soccer in his youth, however, when his ambitions to become a professional soccer player were thwarted in the summer of 1960, Stewart decided to pursue a career in music. His distinctive voice set him apart from other artists of the era and over his long career, he would become one of the best selling music artists of all time. His tally of hit singles include, “Maggie May,” “Tonight’s the Night” and “Downtown Train.” Even at 69, he is still going strong, and performing live for audiences around the world.

Did you know that Stewart became a father for the eighth time at the age of 66? He and his wife welcomed his son Aiden in 2011.
