This brings our ancestors to life and connects us more deeply to our shared history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, we know it can be a bit frustrating when a favorite family photo doesn&#8217;t quite fit the frame, or when a group shot leaves your relative&#8217;s face off center. Today, we are excited to share that you can now crop profile photos directly within the family tree!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Crop Photos in the Family Tree<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Enhancing the family tree has never been easier. First, on the family tree page, navigate to the person whose photo you would like to adjust.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"283\" height=\"152\" src=\"https:\/\/www.geni.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/node_before.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-113428\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Click on their node to open the side panel on the left of the page. Simply drag the edges of the square to perfectly frame the person&#8217;s face.
