As trees continue to grow and<br \/>\nconnect to each other, the distinction between users who are<br \/>\n\u2018connected\u2019 and \u2018not connected\u2019 is becoming less important.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ve<br \/>\nenhanced search to reflect this trend towards one tree that connects<br \/>\neveryone. Geni users can now use search to find any profile on Geni<br \/>\nwhether or not they are connected yet. This will help you find<br \/>\nrelatives that are already on Geni and connect your trees.<\/p>\n<p>The<br \/>\nnew search results tabs are All of Geni, Connected to You, and Managed<br \/>\nby You. By default, users in our largest tree will search All of Geni<br \/>\nand everyone else will search Connected profiles.<\/p>\n<p>One of the benefits of this is that you can view all hot matches in one list without switching between two tabs.<\/p>\n<p>Keep in mind:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minors are still never searchable<\/li>\n<li>This does not affect whether or not profiles are publicly searchable<\/li>\n<li>This does not affect what a user can see if they use search to find your profile<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There are now over 15 million profiles connected on one Geni tree.
