This means that you have additional control over who can edit and search for these profiles. Here are the default settings for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.geni.com\/account_settings\/managed_profiles\">Managed Profiles<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/s234.photobucket.com\/albums\/ee318\/geniteam\/Screenshots\/?action=view&amp;current=Picture1-3.png\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/i234.photobucket.com\/albums\/ee318\/geniteam\/Screenshots\/Picture1-3.png\" border=\"0\" alt=\"Managed Profiles Settings\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>What do these settings mean?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Who can edit?<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Choose &#8216;Only Me&#8217; if you don&#8217;t want to grant anyone else access to edit these profiles.<\/li>\n<li>Choose &#8216;Entire Tree&#8217; to allow others in your tree to modify these profiles.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Who can search?<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Entire Tree: Only other users who have joined your Geni Tree will see this person in their search results.<\/li>\n<li>Anyone: This profile will show up in &#8216;Outside Your Tree&#8217; search results. This will help other family members who have not joined your Tree to find shared family members. NOTE: Minors are never included in our public search index.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You&#8217;ll notice that you can choose separate settings for Living and Deceased Profiles you have added.
