Yesterday, Comic-Con International 2011<\/a> began in San Diego, CA. Each year, thousands of fans wait in anticipation for this convention, which showcases comic books, science fiction, fantasy and film\/television. Today, we thought it would be fun to highlight the Comic Book Villains & Superheroes project<\/a>. This amusing project aims to gather the Geni<\/a> profiles for all the actors who have portrayed comic book characters and their creators. Interested in learning more about the genealogy of these individuals? Join this project to help build the family trees of other famous portrayals of comic book characters and those who created them!<\/p>\n

Today we highlighted<\/a> Captain America\u00a0portrayer,\u00a0actor Chris Evan<\/a>‘s Geni profile. Here’s a brief look at a few other profiles included in the project:<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Stan Lee<\/a> – He is a comic book writer, publisher and former president and chairman of Marvel Comics<\/a>. Among his most notable creations are Spider Man, the Fantastic Four, the X-Men and the Avengers.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Jack Nicholson<\/a> – Academy Award winning actor Jack Nicholson famously portrayed the Joker in the 1989 Batman<\/em> film.<\/p>\n
