Pi Day commemorates the mathematical constant\u00a0\u03c0 (pi) each year on March 14, or 3\/14, which are the first three digits of\u00a0\u03c0 (3.14).\u00a0\u03c0 is a mathematical constant that measures the ratio of any circle&#8217;s circumference to its diameter. Because\u00a0\u03c0 is an irrational number, it cannot be expressed as a fraction. Its decimal representation never ends and is never repeated.<\/p>\n<p>In honor of Pi Day, we thought it would be fun to highlight the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.geni.com\/projects\/Mathematicians\">Mathematicians project<\/a> on Geni! The goal of this project is to compile the profiles of all the mathematicians on Geni.
