People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite&#8221;.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><em>&#8211; Nelson Mandela<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">Imprisoned for 27 years for his involvement in the anti-apartheid movement in South Africa, Mandela emerged from his release in 1990 ready to lead his country to a peaceful end to decades of apartheid.\u00a0In 1993, Mandela was jointly awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for \u201cthe peaceful termination of the apartheid regime and laying the foundations for a new democratic South Africa.\u201d Soon after, he would become the first black president of South Africa.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">T<\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">he world has lost one of the most inspirational and beloved leaders in history.
