<\/a><\/p>\nThe Geni booth at RootsTech 2016<\/em><\/p>\n This year, Geni had an amazing booth with plenty of room to accommodate the crowds of visitors\u00a0eager to learn more about collaborative genealogy in a single family tree.<\/p>\n New users starting\u00a0their family trees on Geni<\/i><\/p>\n We loved hearing from\u00a0Geni\u00a0users, who\u00a0shared with\u00a0us how much they loved using Geni for their family history research and for connecting to their relatives. Many newcomers\u00a0were also eager to learn how they could become a part of Geni’s\u00a0World Family Tree<\/a>, the largest, highest-quality family tree of the world. All visitors were also treated to\u00a0a complimentary Geni water bottle!<\/p>\n Geni Curator Adam Brown chatting with\u00a0attendees<\/em><\/p>\n We were lucky to have Geni Curator Adam Brown on hand to chat with new and current users. Many people were very excited to hear that Geni’s World Family Tree is curated by a team of nearly 200 volunteer curators from all around the world.<\/p>\n A newly connected cousin showing AJ Jacobs her relationship path to Adam Brown<\/em><\/p>\n As always, Adam worked his Geni-magic and connected several people to Geni’s World Family Tree right at the booth! We also had the opportunity to chat with best-selling author\u00a0and founder\u00a0of the Global Family Reunion<\/a> A.J. Jacobs, who stopped by just as Adam was making a new cousin connection.<\/p>\n The MyHeritage RootsTech After Party<\/em><\/p>\n One of the major highlights of RootsTech was the first-ever MyHeritage RootsTech After Party. The Geni team joined the MyHeritage team at the fun-filled bash on Friday, February 6. The party was attended by over 400 guests, which included\u00a0friends, partners and geneabloggers. The night’s entertainment consisted of\u00a0many fun game stations, raffle give-aways, and karaoke.
