Additions to family not showing up on home page

I also am only seeing some of my collaborators' merges on my home page.

And merges that a family member did a few days ago never appeared on his recent activity tab.

I am having the same issue. Only some of my collaborator's merges appear on my home page.

Today (in almost 24 hours) a total of only two merges show in my recent activity, both in the past two hours.

Bjôrn, we're talking about our Geni home pages — not email notifications.

The Geni homepage newsfeed have a filter option to the right. Check your settings there.

The amount of news does however depend of the activity level on users you are following.

If this is a new policy and not simply a computer glitch, it's a huge loss for Geni users. Those updates are the only way for us to keep track of what's happening in our genealogy world on a cumulative basis. Checking individual pages for changes would be impossible.

As Mike said above: He will look into it. He would have said it if it was a new policy.

A similar error have been discussed where Mike suspected it had something to do with browser cookies (where I assume these settings are stored)

I suggest you log out of Geni, clear both your browser cookies and temporary storage and try again.

You could also try to clear just your browser cookies for Geni (log out first) by using this link:

I just got a feedback from a user that the above link clearing Geni cookies helped.

perhaps not entirely related, but i'm no longer getting any notifications of merge issues (data conflicts, tree conflicts etc).

Maybe also not related, but my notifications thread top right hangs up. The only way to get it to close is actually moving from the page.

Otherwise it's hung and impossible to move around it.

The same happens when opening my profile from the thread. Same thing frequently happens with Actions.

Does anyone else have the same problem?

I am initially seeing collaborators activities and merges on my home page, which, after a short while randomly disappear.

This happens in Recent Activities and Revisions. I believe Ingrid had earlier reported the same problem.

Is anyone else encountering this?

Nah, check the calandar. There is a reason why the Geni activity is quite low these days.

@Bjorn, maybe I was not clear in what the problem is.
I have masses of activity on my home page. The problem is that some of the information disappears. It is visible and then maybe an hour later only some of the collaborator activity is no longer on the page.
