If you have the ability to merge this, I do believe these are the same person of the Petite family of which I was trying to sort out before the changes with Geni Unknown Profile

What profile am I comparing it with?

Thomas Pettit, an ardent Puritan whose parentage is not known [yet] , born at Widford, England, about 1609.
on the ship "Talbot," which left England in March 1629/30 and after three months at sea landed at Charlestown (Cambridge) 2 July 1630
he sold his lands and relocated to Dutch controlled Long Island
John Pettit, son of Nathaniel and Mary Pettit came to New Jersey from Long Island prior to 1737
Isaac remained loyal to the English crown, and was placed in the custody of his loyal brother Amos, and later removed to Canada.

John Pettit, arrived America 1630
Birth: circa 1608
, Widford, Essex, England

Believe me, they are the same person, Same family.

Our families stayed together in NY, then Jersey, then Canada.

Tammy, you are comparing the 2 Thomas Pettits from Essex. We are the Essex family group.

French, English, Welsh, Scottish, Irish, family group from Essex that merged with the Dutch family group in the New World. The Vermandois family.

I'll look too and really need clarification. Thomas Pettit, I and Christian Pettit show as my 10th gg's - and I want to verify it. I had seem something that called their descendant listings into question.

I find 3 profiles for Thomas Pettit- the one I manage, dob 1610 and 2 others dob 1609. Are these 3 what I am to compare?

I think we need to disconnect Christian Pettit from "parents" Abraham Mellowes & Martha Mellowes

(still my 10th great grand mother)

There is nothing I have seen to indicate she belongs with this family group. And as long as she's with unlikely parents, no one will look for more likely ones.

Feedback, please. As it's a direct line for me I'd prefer the objectivity of someone less related.
