does somebody know about town/village called Boltov.

It shouldn't necessarily be a Ukrainian settlement, but should be somewhere at the front line during the I WW.

I rely upon Jewish Gen ( to locate little towns in Eastern Europe / Lithuania / Ukraine. Even they missed my great great grandfather's town of Ratnycia. There is Poltava, but that is in central Ukraine. The good thing about Jewish Gen is that they document the political map over time and provide insight into the political map pre-WW I which is important for genealogical research. Also they list all the nearby towns/villages and give distance.
