In 1800 James Lyon resided at Marthas Brae , he died in Port of Rio Bueno and was buried at the Anglican Church,St.Peters in June 1807. There was a son Samuel who inherited possibly some of the land, another son was John who died in Bristol,England on July 3rd 1820. John left the settlement of his Jamaican affairs to Samuel in his will. James certainly left a will as there is a reference to Rio Bueno Council,Trelawney Estate
buying of ground for burial 210ft X 40ft from exe. of James 1811. But there is no sign of the will or what happened to Samuel and his family as he married Jane Kennedy in 1824 at the Anglican church. I would be interested in hearing from anybody with any information.
