Erica Howton Griswold question..Was Cousin Eddie on Clark or Ellen Griswolds side of the family??.....ttfn
@Deborah Griswold. If I have this right, your 6th great grandmother Deborah Griswold was married to Thomas Moore, the son of John Moore Jr and the grandson of Deacon John Moore. His house is still standing in Windsor, Ct and worth looking at on google. I have a many time great grandmother, Sarah Griswold, who was married to Samuel Phelps .Her daughter Sarah Phelps was married to my gg-------grandfather, Andrew Moore, the Carpenter of Windsor. I mention this because my grandmother Sarah Griswold had a sister Deborah Griswold born in 1646. This Deborah was married to Samuel Buell. Interestingly enough, my great ++grandmother, Sarah Griswold Phelps after her husband, Samuel Phelps, died married Nathaniel Pinney who was the brother of Deacon John Moore's wife, Abigail Pinney. There is a book that I really urge you to find. It is by Joshua W. Lane and Donald P. White III and is titled The Woodworkers of Windsor. I found it by going to google and entering the title of the book followed by Hathi Trust W of W Hathi Trust. When it comes up choose the pdf full view and it will be there for you to read. Later I found a copy and purchased it. Deacon John Moore was at the center of an important community of woodworkers.
There was a chest with a drawer from his shop that was featured on Antiques Roadshow but sold later by one of the Kenos. You will understand what I am saying about the significance of Deacon John as a woodworker if you google the following :
