Elizabeth is my 4th great grand aunt. The information I have on her is different that what is posted here. I show her birth in 1737 in Prince George, Virginia colony. In 1751 she married Ambrose Crain 1720-1759 (which makes her 14) and they had 4 children: William b. 1752, Lewis b. 1756, Mildred (Milly) b. 1758 and John Benjamin b. 1759. She then married Moses Winters in NC and their first child was Caleb b.1760.

Ronald,
I don’t know if these will help but found them. I listed husbands Moses Winters DAR profile number as sge listed on it and there warning on profile. Maybe someone more formillier then me can do search what wrong with his stuff and put notes in profiles as to why it messed up. I just saw warning and Elizabeth listed. Was working on them in Wikitree bit. That family search profile has sources listed might want to look at those records or suggestions may help. I hope this helps on her profile.

Ronald,
I also noticed the fact this child listed as child of Elizabeth And Ambrose Crain as of yet I not seeing any references to this child anywhere I thinking he’s a child of different parents. It’s been suggested he might need to be moved to these parents. Someone may need to look into this child. I just putting suggestion here may be totally wrong but nothing on profile to back up parents.

If this correct Ambrose Crain and Elizabeth Hand Winters did not have a son by Name PHILEMON CRAIN he might been Ambrose Crain Brother son. Someone needs to correct tree here.

In the Virginia State Library, there is recorded a Grant of 200 acres from King George, II to Philemon Crane on Sep 25, 1746; the land in Amelia County. Virginia was adjacent to that of Ambrose Crain who had also received his land by Grant in 1747. Although the land of Ambrose was sold by him in 1750/1751 before moving to Granville Co., NC. PHILEMON did not sell his land until July 7, 1769. His Dresence in NC is indicated by a land purchase in 1778 in Wilkes Co., NC by James Crain who is believed to have been PHILEMON'S oldest son, and by PHILEMON'S death in 1786 in Wilkes County. NC. PHILEMON and ELIZABETH had children as follows: 1. JAMES CRAIN, SR.: born 21743 m Amelia County, VA: died 1790: was married to MARTHA (?); possibly a daughter of THOMAS PRICE, SR.
