Thomas Pearson of Marple - Errors

If one clicks on the 'Ancestors' link, I think one will quickly discover that the information is erroneous. To the best of my knowledge - and I could be wrong - Thomas is not the son of the Thomas Jr. linked, but rather the son of Lawrence Pearson and Elizabeth Janney. At any rate, unless I've been working too long, the info listed just doesn't add up or make any sense. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

You were correct, the profile was attached to the wrong parents. That's now been corrected. Can you help with references & sources for this family?

Possibly. I've connected the dots between myself and Thomas, including a number of the Tattnall, Georgia Pearsons (which I come from) and as far back as the early 1500's before losing the trail.

Nothing's "certified" , and I'm a novice at this. But I feel I've done fairly well at cross-examining the information I've found on the web, and feel confident that the lineage is pretty accurate. There are a lot of dates missing, and others in question. This is where it would take someone who's better at this than I, someone who knows how to dig up and read official records and documents. Also, everything I've accomplished so far has been FREE.

Feel free to email me at the address above with any questions.

It's stated on Thomas' profile page, "Margaret came to the new world with her brother Thomas on the ship Endeavor in 1683."

Checking the passenger list at the link below, I see no mention of a Margaret Pierson or Margaret Hunt. Could we be referring to Thomas' wife? Or perhaps there's an omission (or more) on the passenger list? Listed are

*Pierson, John b , brother of Thomas Pierson
*Pierson, Thomas b and Margaret b (or Margery)(Smith), from Pownall Fee

Kent great catch. The wording does read more like the Margaret was wife, not sister, on that ship.

Just found this under 'Chester County Genealogies - Bogus Ancestries' . . .
Still need to absorb it, as I just woke up from a nap and am still foggy headed.

Almost ten years late to this discussion but I still see likely errors. I can expound more if I hear from either of you. I have been researching this Pearson line (Thomas of Marple is my 7th great grandfather) for several decades, long before the internet. I first got back to Thomas in the 1970s. Hoping to hear from you both. Steve
