It appears that James the V had a Liasione with a woman, not his wife and the child born was Mary Stewart who's subsequent marriage to Thomas Grey of Butterfaulk leads to Patric Grey married the Tudor Descendent, Jane Tudor-Grey. Their Daughter also named Jane carries the name MERCER....and there is no mention of this family on either the family of Jane or her Daugher Jane Mercer-Wilkinson.....who connectis to the CROMWELL family...Descended from TACINDA TUDOR.....I am looking for help, guidance tracking William Mercer, father of Margaret MERCER who is my 9th great grandmother. She married the very well known and tracked great grandson of Sir Rhys ap Thomas 1449 of Bosworth Fame: Thomas ap Rice 1570 son of John ap Rice II and Katherine Perrott of Goggerdan, Wales. The above is the best I can do at this point....The Geni machine does not track this family (MERCERS) for me to see the connection....I did see the Tudor Era Mercer House in Tenby, now operated as a Musieum.....but that's all that I can find on the internet as well as physical search for the family....PLEASE ADVISE. DCR

PS: If a curator could do a search via GENI by inserting the name Perrott ap Rice 1600 as my Known 8th great grand father, and father of John Rice 1624, it might help to identify the Mercer Connection to Tacinda Tudor and thus unlock a door closed to me.....The Block at my 8th great grandfather was imposed becuse all I have is AURAL history which is the same man and history that lead me to John Rice 1624 and ANN Hackley now a PROVED DNA affirmed exact match on the Y chromosome.....Kindly detach my family from the project or help me find this connection.....The Aural HISTORY is now a proved FACT and some here are blocking the story in my estimation....Dale C. RICE 1948 of the Nebraska Rices.

The Mercer's were in business with Augustine during the revolutionary war making Cannon Balls. The Washington's and the Mercer's go way back. ~
