I'm wondering if Anne Adams that married Nathan Adams is the same person as Unknown Profile, daughter of Thomas Jenkins and Anne Jenkins who supposedly married Samuel Polley.
Unknown Profile was born in Dec 13, 1721 in Kittery, York, Maine. Same area as Nathan Adams's first wife and the death location of Anne Adams. She is the right approximate age and the only Anne Jenkins that I could find born in Maine (or the surrounding States) for that time period.
Unknown Profile supposedly married Samuel Polley on Oct 2, 1735, which if correct would mean she was only 13 years old when she got married to Samuel. I don't see any children for them or additional information.
Anne Adams married Nathan Adams around 1742, which would have made her about 21 years old, had two children with Nathan and died Dec 12, 1747.
Does anyone have additional information that might offer additional light?
Thanks, Jeff
Also, based on this discussion thread: http://genforum.genealogy.com/polley/messages/649.html
Thomas Jenkins calls his daughter Ann Polly in his will. Thomas died on Sep 25, 1740. So this still fits the timeline for Nathan Adams
Nathan Adams' deed to "son in law" Samuel Polley on 21 Apr 1761 (Cumberland Deeds, vol 1, p 246) is co-signed by "Anne Adams" indicating she was still living, and probably was the mother of all of Nathan's children born in Harpswell.
