William Rae/Rea had changed his surname from Rae to Rea for unknown reasons. His Grandson David Anderson Rea returned the original spelling of our original surname back to Rae on arrival in Australia 1854.

Hi. Do you know your Rae ancestry names?

My father told me it was the name of the woman he would have preferred to marry, if he had not got my mother pregnant :(

If it was for another reason, no one shared that with me.

I will find those graves in St Hellier for you, I have family from there also.

Mum said, definitely my middle name is not a family name, Mum liked it, and it was the name of Dads previous girlfriend. So we are not related by this name.
