American Greetings!

The son of the Grajewo rabbi founded American Greetings in Cleveland! His name is on the Yizkor Book--Saperstein.

Do you know the name of the Grajewo rabbi? I have a Sapersztejn in my family tree -- Daniel Sapersztejn, who was born in about 1882 in Lomza, the son of Mortek and Chana, who married Jospa Markus in 1906 in Wizna. I'm wondering if he's related. Thanks.

Thanks. So Isaac (or Ick/Yizchok) was the Grajewo town rabbi.

I guess. I couldn't find an independent confirmation of that. I'll go look at the Yizkor book I guess. We should update Ick Sapirstein or Sapirsztejn's profile. I looked them up in Lomza on Jewish Gen but didn't find anything yet.

There are Sapirstein, Steinsapir, and Roterosen. The last two are the same family, not sure about Sapirstein. I have done some research on those families, about whom a lot has been written.
