I think this may be the same person that is often referred to as Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Spitzer, the first rabbi of the famous Schiffschul in Vienna, but want to get some independent verification, mainly because of the name discrepancy. Both Schiffshul and this profile are described as a son-in-law of the Chatam Sofer, although there appears to be a discrepancy about when he was born and when he died.
For example:

This seems like evidence that they're the same. The person is cited with the name Binyamin, is the Schiffshul rabbi, and is a son-in-law of the Chatam Sofer. It says he lived from 1826-94
2 - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moses_Sofer
here he is cited without Binyamin, and wiki says he lived from 1811–1893, but it's clearly the same person as above (same job, some authorship, same relation to the chatam sofer). Wiki also says he wrote the book "tikun Shlomo", which, when I looked it up, gives the author's name with the binyamin as we have it here: http://www.hebrewbooks.org/35974

The National Library of Israel has a portrait of him which includes a birthdate. The description in the catalogue says that the picture was probably published on the first anniversary of his death, so this is probably a pretty good record of this birth and death years, which are given as 1825-1893. Also the image looks an awful lot like the one we have here.

The Hebrew wikipedia says that Shlomo Zalman Spitzer married the widow of Rb. Kornitzer, which is exactly who we have as the first wife of this person here.
Any thoughts? As I wrote this and came up with the evidence I convinced myself that these two people are the same and we should mention that on this page. Should we change the birth and death years to reflect the wider range of possible opinions? I don't know where the current years come from, so I don't know how reliable they are.
