I just found some confusion in the Crane family and have been sorting it out.

Stephen Crane is not proven to be related to Jasper Crane although he came to New Jersey around the same time and he had land adjoining the sons of Jasper Crane. He may be a son or a brother to Jasper but it has not been proven apparently.

It's unclear who he married although a lot of sites given the name Elizabeth Norris but then say she was a redhead from Denmark, which is inconsistent with the daughter of Henry Norris and Abigail Stratton.

His son John (not to be confused with the son of Jasper Crane) married Elizabeth Williams although some sites say HE married Elizabeth Norris. His son Stephen (recently merged with his grandfather) was well known and HIS grandson was Stephen Crane of The Red Badge of Courage.

We definitely need help cleaning up the two Crane families and making sure they don't get confused in the future.
