Lol. Nice one maven i checked and i dont see that. Please dont lie tobus.

Well, that's what the Geni System said when I reported Charlotte Ann Dahlenburg for Abandoned Tree. That's all I can tell you.

Could we please stick to reliably sourced material material for the Andrews family. If there is no somewhat reliable source ( historical or even Burkes, Debretts, whatever) cut the " mystery additions" that aren't sourced. Thomas Andrews left a very well written and well known will, included on his profile.

I've given up on that idea.

Name: Andrews, Androwes, Anthony, gentleman
Death: 1560
Vital: General, England

Name:
Anthony Andrews

Birth: 1522 - Northamptonshire, England
Death: 1560 - Somerset, England
Marriage: 1542 - Woodstock, Oxfordshire, England
Parents: Thomas Andrew, Agnes Newport
Spouse: Katherine Cave

Unfortunantly I don't have access to international records in order to open this.

I think there's a problem here - Katherine Cave married *Sir Thomas* Andrews, not any "Anthony" Andrews.

Sir Thomas obtained the rights to Winwick Manor through his wife, Katherine Cave, daughter of Edward Cave and Dorothy Malory (yes that should be one L), great-granddaughter of the (in)famous Sir Thomas Malory of Newbold Revel. (Both of the Malory great-granddaughters married Cave men - Margery married Edward's first cousin Clement.)

Anthony, if correctly parented and dated, would be a younger son with fewer expectations, and might not show up in as many - if any - legal documents.

A further complication is the family tradition of naming the oldest son Thomas - and occasionally reusing the name for the first son of a second marriage, to boot. That makes it very hard to keep them all correctly sorted.

I see. I got the information from Ancestry. Every tree shows Katherine as Anthony's wife but of course only with sources, not documents or records. I'm afraid there's a lot of misinformation if that is the case. One does show a "Deol Woodstock". What's strange is that shows if you look up "Anthony Andrews" in search. But, if you look up Katherine in search it does show her husband as Thomas Andrews. Just goes to show that you can't go simply by "sources". You need more reliable verification.

Ancestry is a dogpile - some worth, much trash, and you really have to sort through it.

The Visitations of Northamptonshire, c. 1618, cite Anthony as a third son and state that he married the (unnamed) daughter of (no first name) Andrews, of Woodstock. (They also give him six sons and a daughter.) https://archive.org/stream/visitationsofnor00harvrich#page/62/mode/2up
