This profile lists Susannah Emory (b 1736) as Sarah Fields' mother and George Fields (b 1770) as her father. Most sources indicate that Susannah Emory was George's mother and not his wife and the birth years would certainly support that. There is disagreement among the sources as to whether Sarah's mother was Nancy Brown or Sarah Coodey, but it is very unlikely that Susannah Emory was Sarah Fields' mother.

"George Fields, pioneer Cherokee, son of Richard Fields [I] and Susannah Emory and grandson of William Emory and Mary Grant, died at his home> in Delaware district, April 14, 1849, at the age of 80 years. He was born 1769 in TN. He first married Nancy Brown, and later married Sarah Coodey.
