I was under the impression that this project was for the first 3 fleets and before Stes were so defined.
Seems many profiles are added for later times of arrival.
We have many other projects dealing with state by State arrivals (bound for ---) projects.
Wonder if we can define this project and who should be added to it.
Thanks
Shaz

Hi, The project description before I added the extra ships to it said for ships to Australia. It did not specify only for the first 3 fleets.

The first fleet has a separate project, so does the 2nd fleet and the 3rd fleet.

its all immigrants to Australia by ship

I remember when you created this project Jason Scott Wills , Private User supervised me to create Portals for States and ships listings for States, which I have done. See this one: https://www.geni.com/projects/Bound-for-South-Australia/18356

I recall then you started to work on the NZ ships lists by ship, that was quite some years ago. How did you structure NZ?

heres New Zealand https://www.geni.com/projects/New-Zealand-Pioneer-Families-1800-190..., filling out all the shipping lists and creating profiles for all the passengers. over 7000 pioneers now

Great :) Bill Barnes spoke to me about this project as I thought people in 1840 NSW was out of the skope.

In South Australia there were 8,000 settlers very early in the peice, I am trying to re-create that somehow, but find if I have the projects in place, it helps work flow.

Jason Scott Wills did you ever get the download links I sent you a few years ago? 3 vols of all southern hem ships logs with diagrams public domain? I did not hear from you, if not, I will find them and upload them to my server for you.

PS. Still havn't connected my Dalzell :(

Yes Shaz and I were discussing this as the scope of the project wasn't clear - pioneers implies the early immigrants into the country but there is no upper cut-off date (there are still people turning up by boat today but most people wouldn't consider them pioneers). Shaz thought it was only the first three fleets and I thought it was up to around 1950. I notice that the New Zealand equivalent has an upper age limit of 1900 and it'd make sense to have something similar here, so we know what to include.

If it helps feel free to add that my great great grandfather (Henry Treloar b 14 Sept 1827 Wendron Cornwall, died 22 Feb 1906 Eaglehawk, Vic)) and great great grandmother (Grace Treloar nee Trengrouse b circa 1831 d 1910 Long Gully, emigrated from Plymouth to Melbourne in April 1857 aboard the Mt Stuart Elphinstone?

Andrew Douglas I ahave added them to the project plus 2 more of your ancestors

Thanks Leannne
