My father was born in Breslau in 1932 and I visited Wroclaw last month.
It was the first time anyone in the family had been back since dad and his family got out on the slow boat to China.

I have learned a lot here on Geni.
Thanks.

Leopold (Lebel Löbel) Ledermann of Breslau died about 1877, possibly fighting in a war. He may have been a sergeant in the Austro-Hungarian army judging by his uniform (tho family history said Prussian). His widow Fanny (Feigele) Liebchen Ledermann (cousin?) emegrated to Newark NJ. His son, Albert (Abraham) Ivan Lederman (1871-1963), had emegrated first (sneaking across Germany to Hamburg to catch a ship over) and his relatives followed. Leopold's parents were Zve Lederman and Julia Henzler (both born about 1840s?). Fanny's parents were Löbel (Lebel) Ledermann and Hanna (Handel/Anna) Weiss of Kenpo. Hanna's parents may have been Wolff Alexander Weiss and Lea Rosalie Hirschel. Lea's parents: Hirschel Abraham Hirschel (1780) and Rachel (1785).
If you have info on this family (that supports or contradicts), please let me know. And of course any further info is welcome.

My grandfather Judah Bresler and his father Morris Bresler left Breslau around 1870 for the Ukraine. If there is any information about the Bresler family in Breslau, I would love to hear about it.
