either Maria Catharina Botha, b1c7d9e4 -- or -- Anna Cecilia du Plessis

That's true Dan Cornett With the naming paterns as it is in South Africa though there could easily be two people with the name Hercules Rudolph de Wet. So I think we need to look at both.

I've got his Death Notice. will add it later tonight.

I've uploaded the death notice for Hercules Rudolph de Wet, b1c2d3e4f3, parents issue solved.

There's still a problem in this family though, I have found the death notices for 6 Jacobus Albertus de Wet and at first glance 2 different ones were married to Maria Catharina Botha, b1c7d9e4 and Anna Cecilia du Plessis.

I may need some help to undo more merges as I add these source documents.

Depending on what you find, it may also be just as simple as detaching one from the current J A de Wet and attaching to the correct one.

Added her DN, her mother was surely Gertruida Petronella Prinsloo but given her children from the 1820s with DE WET, she was born 1807 that means the first wife (VENTER) of BOTHA passed away before 1807 (her children stops in 1805).
