Canaan was pronounced Ganaan by the western Semitic peoples (Phoenicians). The difference between the east Semiti,
and the west Semitic languages is similar to the hard "C" of western IndoAryan languages and the corresponding soft "S"
of the eastern IndoAryan languages,
Centum-Satem (isogloss)

"Ghana" it's people and especially it's nobles, probably weren't the first peoples in west Africa to designate themselves as "Ganaans"
.

(I think I might be the only person in this group)

I respectfully disagree with your viewpoint. The Canaanites originate from the Levant area, not Ghana. By using my true ancestry, you can discover the ancient site you are connected with, and they will accurately match you with ancient people.
