"According to History of Kendall/Cunningham/Snodgrass-William Kendall Jr son of William Sr and Sara ( Payne) Mason) Married Jemima Kirk on May 10 1738. Page 15 Chapter VI."

William-I's profile on Geni currently has two spouses:
Elizabeth Kendall and Sarah Mason

On FamilySearch.org, those two spouses were recently merged, but that doesn't make sense to me for two reasons:
-- it left Sara(h) Mason (born Payne?) as a child of the Combs/Combes family.
-- some of the deed/property transfer records currently shown in William Kendall, I's "About" name a wife Elizabeth.

William Kendall Jr b. 1717 m. 1738, then another source says May 10 1748 Jemimah Kirk b. 1722.
The sources are on Ancestry.com- Ancestry.com. Virginia, Select Marriages, 1785-1940 [database on-line]. Provo, UT, USA: Ancestry.com Operations, Inc, 2014.

ELIZABETH COMBS-b.1698 M. William Kendall or William Savage Kendall b.1695. I believe they are the same person, marriage date is 1716. William Savage i son of Thomas Savage and Elizabeth Mary Ann Washington.

To further confuse matters is another William Kendall b. Jan 7 1674 M. Elizabeth Combs in 1694. This per the Combs family tree on Ancestry.com This Williams father is John Kinsman Kendall, who also shows as father of Thomas Savage kendall b. 1672.
Susanna Savage their Mother.

any help is appreciated in figuring this out.

William Kendall married Elizabeth Combs, daughter of John Combs. John bequeaths a cow to his daughter Elizabeth in his will written 11 December 1716 Richmond County, Virginia. William Kendall of Stafford County and his wife, Elizabeth, sell to Jeremiah Murdock 62 acres he formerly inhabited in Westomoreland County in 1726.

William was the son of Thomas Kendall and Martha Goff/Goffe/Gough. Thomas Kendall gifted 50 acres of land to his Son WILLIAM KENDALL by Deeds of lease & release dated 2nd & 4th March 1716. William later sold this land to his brother, Samuel.

This William is not the same William who married Elinor Roach, Sarah Foster or the William who died ca1744 in Prince William County, VA. These are all unique and distinct men.

Scott Duane: Could you post the profile links to the people you referenced in your reply today so there isn't any confusion about which of the three Williams are which?

I'll look for the profiles, they may not exist as the William Kendalls have been merged into one William Kendall
