When you have time I would suggest you check out this link. There may be some revisions starting with Knud Tarjeisen Helle and his lineage. According to rootsweb, his father should be Torjus Knutson Uppstad born in 1797.
The link I gave you goes back as far as 1530 for the name of Mikkel Nomeland. If you work your way into the future from that year, should bring you all the way to Olav Knutson "Rysstad".
